AWH Electric has been in Grande Prairie since 1992. It was started as a side venture by Alan Hessler, who at the time was also the electrical maintenance technician at the Grande Prairie Regional College. In 2000 things began to get busy in Grande Prairie and Alan decided to leave the college to focus on his electrical business full time. Between 1992 and 2006, AWH Electric was involved in almost strictly residential work. In May of 2005 Alan’s son, Brent, joined the business after completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta.
